Everything you need to bid smarter

ThriftEdge gives you instant price intelligence on every mac.bid auction lot. Here’s everything that ships in v4.0.

eBay Sold Comparables

Recent real sales pulled from eBay’s sold listings — not asking prices, not optimistic listings. See exactly what comparable items closed at, with dates and conditions, so you know whether the lot in front of you is over, under, or right at market.

Amazon Price History

CamelCamelCamel charts embedded directly on the lot page. Toggle 3M / 6M / 1Y / All time ranges to see whether new is cheap right now or whether you’ll save real money buying used. Similar Amazon items with images and prices appear alongside, with one-click outbound links.

Total Cost Calculator

Enter your total budget and instantly see the maximum bid you can place. The calculator factors in buyer’s premium percentage, per-lot fees, and your local tax rate. A visual cost bar breaks down each component, and a bid-step reference table shows the total cost at every standard bid increment.

Bid History at a Glance

High, Low, Average, and Median drawn from up to 100 closed comparable lots. A compact histogram shows the full winning-bid distribution, with retail and instant-win reference lines. Average savings vs. retail appear as a quick-glance percentage on every lot card.

Watchlist Intelligence

Your /account/watchlist page gets the same overlays your lot pages do. Lazy-loaded cards are picked up automatically as you scroll or change tabs. Won and Lost tabs are isolated — no overlays where they don’t belong.

Toolbar Control

Configure once and ThriftEdge stays out of your way. The toolbar popup has an enable/disable toggle, your buyer premium / lot fee / tax rate settings (set once, applied everywhere), and a statistics page with cache size, overlays-built count, and one-click clear.

Extension coming soon to the Chrome Web Store.
